Exploring new ways to make music and experience music in AR
We worked closely with Artiphon over the course of a year, to explore types of musical instruments in augmented reality. Imagine if each individual finger can be tracked, and used as input. Your hand becomes a kind of instrument.
New tools like AR bring us a range of opportunities to explore music. Through AR we can track people's facial expressions, body movement, even each finger on a hand can be tracked and used as input for a new kind of instrument.
Alongside that we explored many ways to bring music to life visually in AR, creating new ways of experiencing sound. We only just scratched the surface of the potential for inventing completely new types of music intruments.
